The District Foundation

The Midwest District Foundation exists to provide financial assistance to churches, students, and ministry staff within the Midwest District.

Buildings

Financing building development, special projects, or emergency needs. This can involve new builds, expansions, renovations, or improvements.

Education

Advancing educational opportunities including scholarships and student loans, helping to prepare Midwest District applicants for pastoral and other types of church ministry.

Projects

Need help with a good idea? Various loans, grants, and gifts are available to assist ministry advancement, personal development, or emergency needs.

Specific Scholarship Funds for Students (click + to expand)

EFCA Centennial Scholarship

This fund makes annual scholarships available to qualified individuals who are pursuing theological education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in anticipation of vocational Christian service. Applicants are or have been active members in an Evangelical Free Church within the Midwest District.

Stranberg Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Alvin and Rose Marie Stranberg, this fund helps to eliminate school debt for Trinity Evangelical Divinity School graduates. Applicants must have been members of an Evangelical Free Church in the Midwest District prior to enrolling at TEDS, graduated, and be willing to pastor an EFCA congregation.  

Educational Loan Fund

These loans are given to qualified students at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Applicants must have been a member of an Evangelical Free Church in the Midwest District prior to enrolling at TEDS and be willing to pastor an Evangelical Free Church in the Midwest District. For an applicant who is called and serves a church within the Midwest District, 20% of the loan is forgiven each year
